The previously suspended American video game magazine EGM will be re-launched by EGM Media LLC, in March 2010 following its closure since Jan. 6, 2009.

In a press release from Beverly Hills, CA states that Time/Warner will handle sales and marketing.

“We’re thrilled to once again be representing one of the leading titles in its category,” said Mike Bogas, Senior Marketing Manager of Time/Warner Retail Sales & Marketing. “Electronic Gaming Monthly is a brand that is synonymous with the gaming field and one that has consistently performed well for us in the past. The new changes that EGM is making to integrate print and digital will only enhance the product further.”

Returning are familiar editors such as Dan “Shoe” Hsu, Demian Linn, Seanbaby, Ryan O’Donnell and Matt Chandronait. You might recognize Seanbaby immediately from his history of hijinks at EGM as one whose had a history of shitting on games he’s never played and even sometimes because the cover looked bad; in good humor.

Dan “Shoe” Hsu, the founder BitMob will continue to handle his website and community along with his return to EGM. Hosts of weekly video game show The CO-OP Ryan O’Donnel and Matt Chandronait of Rebel FM podcast will continue their shows also.

What’s new with the new EGM? The April issue due in March will open the option to read the print version of EGM online with a code included in the print version. The digital version will be updated weekly to keep up with bloggers Kotaku and VG247 and also to handle important community feedback.

This first issue of the new print edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly will carry an April cover and include a special cover story continuing the EGM tradition of highlighting the best games of the year. The premier issue of the re-launch will also boast game previews, a new Review Crew featuring the return of Sushi-X, and commentary from a host of columnists including EGM personalities such as Quartermann, Dan “Shoe” Hsu, Sean “Seanbaby” Reiley, and many others.
