Final Fantasy 13 Set To Ship on 3 Discs
Square-Enix confirms that the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy 13 will span 3 discs
According to Gamefly, a video game rental website, Final Fantasy 13 will be shipping on three discs. They posted this information on their website yesterday;
NOTE: This is a three disc game, but it only counts as one disc against your rental plan.
Shortly after, a rep for Square-Enix confirmed that the long awaited edition to the franchise would in fact ship on three separate DVDs for the Xbox 360. Final Fantasy 13, which came out in Japan in December and has already sold well over a million copies, is set to come out for the rest of the world on March 9th for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
“Yes, the game is on three DVDs for the 360,” the anonymous representative from Square-Enix said. But he made it very clear that there will not be a lot of disk changes during the game.
“Players will only have to swap discs twice during their entire game,” he said.
It’s no real surprise that the game will stretch over three discs considering one of the staples of any good Final Fantasy game is breathtaking cinematics.
PS3 owners, however, will not have to concern themselves with the swaps since FF13 has been neatly fit onto a single Blu-Ray disc.
